1690 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Hashimi narrated to us: al-Husayn ibn Isma‘il narrated to us; Ziyad ibn Ayyub narrated to us; Ziyad al-Bakka’i narrated to us, from Mansur, from Talq ibn Habib, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: “There are three qualities: whoever possesses them is a servant who has tasted faith and its sweetness.”
He said: I asked, “Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?” He replied: “That Allah and His Messenger should be dearer to him than all else; that he love for Allah’s sake and hate for Allah’s sake; and that a tremendous fire be kindled and he fall into it rather than associate anything with Him.”
