1685 — Ja‘far ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Ya‘qub informed us; Muhammad ibn Harun al-Ruyani said: ‘Amr ibn ‘Ali narrated to us; Abu Mu‘awiyah narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, from ‘Adi ibn Thabit, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from ‘Ali, who said: “By Him who split the grain and brought forth the human soul, the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, pledged to me: ‘None loves you except a believer, and none hates you except a hypocrite.’”
