1682 — Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Zakariyya al-Mutawwi‘i informed us; ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Tufi informed us; Abu Hammar al-Bakrawi informed us; Ya‘qub ibn Humayd informed us; Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Makhzumi informed us, from Sufyan ⦗1002⦘ al-Thawri, from Zubayd, from Murrah, from ‘Abd Allah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Patience is half of faith, and certainty is faith in its entirety.”
١٦٨٢ - أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا الْمُطَّوِّعِيُّ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطُّوفِيُّ، قَالَ: نا أَبُو هَمَّارٍ الْبَكْرَاوِيُّ، قَالَ: نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ⦗١٠٠٢⦘ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «الصَّبْرُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ، وَالْيَقِينُ الْإِيمَانُ كُلُّهُ»
