1659 — Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Warraq narrated to us: Ahmad ibn Khalaf narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn Mihran al-Darir narrated to us: Affan ibn Muslim narrated to us: Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us: Umarah ibn al-Qa'qa' narrated to us: Abu Zur'ah ibn Amr ibn Jarir narrated to us, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“Allah has guaranteed for whoever goes forth in His cause—motivated by nothing but faith in Him and belief in His messengers—that He will either admit him into Paradise or return him to the home from which he departed, having attained whatever reward or spoils he obtains.”

Al-Bukhari transmitted it from Harami ibn Hafs, from Abd al-Wahid.
