1656—Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us: Ali ibn Abdullah ibn Mubashshir informed us; he said: Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us; he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us; and Malik narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan out of faith and seeking the reward, his past sins will be forgiven.”

١٦٥٦ - وأنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُبَشِّرٍ، قَالَ: نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ونا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ»
