1612 — And ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Yaʿqūb and ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar informed us; they said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Ḥātim informed us; he said: al-Ḥasan ibn ʿArafah narrated to us; he said: Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said—another chain:

1613 — And ʿUbayd Allah ibn Aḥmad informed us; al-Ḥusayn ibn Ismāʿīl informed us; he said: Saʿīd ibn Yaḥyā al-Umawī narrated to us; he said: My father narrated to me, from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The believers most complete in faith are those best in character, and the best of you are those who are best to their wives.” Their wording is identical.
