1582 — Muhammad ibn Rizq Allah informed us: Ahmad ibn al-Hasan informed us. He said: Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Sa’igh narrated to us. He said: Abu Nu‘aym narrated to us. Hisham ibn Sa‘d narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, who said:

“This religion necessarily entails four things: entering into the community of the Muslims; faith; affirming belief in Allah, in the messengers—the first of them and the last of them—in Paradise, Hell, and the resurrection after death; and performing a righteous deed by which you confirm your faith.”
