1581 — Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Basir informed us: Uthman ibn Ahmad informed us. Hanbal ibn Ishaq narrated to us. He said: Al-Humaydi narrated to us. He said: Yahya ibn Sulaym narrated to us. He said: I heard Abd al-Aziz ibn Abi Rawwad ask Hisham ibn Hassan, while he was performing the circumambulation: “What did al-Hasan say regarding faith?” He replied: “It is statement and action.”
١٥٨١ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْبَصِيرُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، سَأَلَ هِشَامَ بْنَ حَسَّانَ وَهُوَ فِي الطَّوَافِ: مَا كَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَقُولُ فِي الْإِيمَانِ؟ قَالَ: «قَوْلٌ وَعَمَلٌ»
