131— Al-Hasan ibn Uthman informed us; Ali ibn Muhammad ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Hazim narrated to us; Ubaydullah ibn Musa narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Abu Husayn, from Yahya ibn Waththab, from Masruq, from Abdullah, who said: “Do not make men the authority for your religion. If you insist, then follow the dead, not the living.”
١٣١ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ , ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ , ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى , عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ , عَنْ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ , عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ: «لَا تُقَلِّدُوا دِينَكُمُ الرِّجَالَ , فَإِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ فَبِالْأَمْوَاتِ لَا بِالْأَحْيَاءِ»
