And among the Successors, it is reported from al-Hasan, Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, Zayd ibn Aslam, Mujahid, Hisham ibn Hassan, Wahb ibn Munabbih, and Abdullah ibn Ubayd Allah ibn Umayr that they said: “Faith is statement and action.”
وَمِنَ التَّابِعِينَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ، وَعَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، وَوَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالُوا: «الْإِيمَانُ قَوْلٌ، وَعَمَلٌ»
