1528 — Isa ibn Ali informed us; Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us; he said: Dawud ibn Amr narrated to us; he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us, from his father, from Urwah and Sulayman ibn Yasar, from al-Miswar ibn Makhramah: He and Ibn Abbas entered upon Umar ibn al-Khattab and said, “The prayer, O Commander of the Believers,” after daybreak had become clear. He replied, “Yes. There is no share in Islam for one who abandons the prayer.” He then prayed while the wound was gushing blood.
