1527 — Ahmad ibn Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad informed us; al-Husayn ibn Isma'il informed us. He said: Salam ibn Junadah narrated to us. He said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When the son of Adam recites a verse requiring prostration, Satan withdraws and weeps, saying: ‘Woe to me! The son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, and he prostrated, so Paradise is his. But I was commanded to prostrate, and I refused, so the Fire is mine.’”

Muslim transmitted it.
