1522 — Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Umar informed us. Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim informed us. Muhammad ibn Awf narrated to us. Ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us. He said: Nafi ibn Yazid narrated to us. He said: Sayyar ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Qawdhar, from Salamah ibn Shurayh, from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, enjoined us, saying: “Do not associate anything with Allah, even if you are burned, cut to pieces, and crucified. And do not deliberately abandon the prayer, for whoever deliberately abandons it has left the faith.”
