1466—‘Ali ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Umar informed us: ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim informed us; he said: Harun ibn Ishaq narrated to us; he said: ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Hakam al-Misri narrated to us; he said: Bakr ibn Mudar narrated to us.

1467—And ‘Ali ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah informed us; he said: ‘Ali ibn ⦗877⦘ Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Wa‘iz informed us; he said: Yahya ibn ‘Uthman ibn Salih narrated to us; he said: My father and Ishaq ibn Bakr narrated to us; both said: Bakr ibn Mudar narrated to us, from Ja‘far ibn Rabi‘ah, from ‘Irak, from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn ‘Abd Allah, from Ibn ‘Abbas: “The moon split during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.” Their wording is identical. Yahya added: “I have been informed that one portion was over the House, and another portion over Mount Abu Qubays.”
