1462 — Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad informed us; al-Husayn ibn Isma‘il informed us; Ali ibn Abi al-Haytham narrated to us; Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us; Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas. And through another chain:
1463 — Al-Hasan ibn Uthman informed us; Ahmad ibn al-Hasan informed us; Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us; Abd al-A‘la narrated to us; Yazid ibn Zuray‘ narrated to us; Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas, who related to them: “The people of Mecca asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to show them a sign, so he showed them the splitting of the moon.” It was narrated by al-Bukhari through Khalifah, from Yazid ibn Zuray‘.

١٤٦٣ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَ: ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ: ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، حَدَّثَهُمْ «أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُرِيَهُمْ آيَةً فَأَرَاهُمُ انْشِقَاقَ الْقَمَرِ» . أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ عَنْ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ
