1455 — Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Ya'qub informed us. He said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hatim informed us. He said: al-Hasan ibn Arafah narrated to us. He said: Hushaym narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“I am the master of Adam’s descendants on the Day of Resurrection, without boasting. I am the first for whom the earth will split open on the Day of Resurrection, the first to intercede, and the first whose intercession will be accepted, without boasting. The Banner of Praise will be in my hand on the Day of Resurrection, without boasting.”

This is the wording of al-Ahwas up to his words, “without boasting.” Al-Hasan ibn Arafah added, “The Banner of Praise,” through to the end.
