Ubaydullah also informed us; al-Husayn informed us. Abdullah ibn Abi Muslim al-Harrani narrated to us. He said: My grandfather narrated to us. He said: Musa ibn A‘yan narrated to us, from Ata ibn al-Sa'ib, from Abu Ja'far, from his father, from Ali, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said:

“I have been given five things that no prophet before me was given: I was sent to the white, black, and red peoples; the earth was made for me a means of purification and a place of prayer; I was granted victory through awe; spoils of war were made lawful for me, though they had not been lawful for anyone before me; and I was given concise yet comprehensive words”—meaning the Quran.
