1447 — Ubaydullah ibn Ahmad informed us; al-Husayn ibn Isma'il informed us. He said: Ahmad ibn Mansur narrated to us. He said: Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr al-Kirmani narrated to us, from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Muhammad ibn Ali, who heard Ali ibn Abi Talib say: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
“I have been given what none of the prophets was given.” We said, “What is it, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “I have been granted victory through awe; I have been given the keys of the earth; I have been named Ahmad; the earth has been made a means of purification for me; and my community has been made the best of communities.”
The wording is that of al-Husayn’s hadith.
