1442 — Isa ibn Ali informed us; Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us. He said: Hamzah ibn Malik al-Aslami narrated to us. He said: My uncle, Sufyan ibn Hamzah, narrated to us—from—Ḥāʾ.

1443 — Ubaydullah ibn Ahmad and Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Farisi informed us. They said: al-Husayn ibn Ismaʿil informed us. He said: Hamzah ibn Malik narrated to us. He said: My uncle narrated to us. He said: Kathir—that is, Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, from al-Walid, who was Ibn Rabah, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“I have been favored with six distinctions—not that I say this boastfully—which were not given to anyone before me: my earlier and later sins have been forgiven; my community has been made the best of communities; the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, whereas they were not made lawful for anyone before me; the earth has been made for me places of prayer and a means of purification; I have been given al-Kawthar; and I have been aided by awe. By Him in whose hand is my soul, your companion shall indeed be the bearer of praise on the Day of Resurrection, without boasting, with Adam and all those beneath him under his banner.”
