Accounts of the special virtues with which Allah distinguished the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, above all other prophets:

Among them is that he was given concise yet comprehensive speech—namely, the Quran—and was sent to all people, whereas each prophet before him was sent only to his own people. He was granted victory by the fear that was cast into his enemy’s heart from a month’s journey away. With him the line of prophets was sealed, so there is no prophet after him. He was granted intercession for his community, and was offered the keys to the treasures of the earth as an honour for him; yet he declined to take them and chose the Hereafter.

He was named Ahmad, and the meanings of his prophethood were manifested in the qualities denoted by his name: all his affairs were praiseworthy, and his words were pleasing. Spoils of war were made lawful for him, though they had not been lawful for any prophet before him. The earth was made a place of prayer for him and for his community, whereas the prayer of the other prophets was valid only in their churches and synagogues. The rows of his community were made like the rows of the angels, and the soil was made a means of purification for him and for his community when water is unavailable.
