1425 — ‘Abd Allah ibn Muslim ibn Yahya informed us; al-Husayn ibn Isma‘il informed us; he said: al-‘Abbas ibn Yazid al-Bahrani narrated to us; he said: Yazid ibn Zuray‘ narrated to us; he said: Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-‘Aliyah, who said: The cousin of your Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—meaning Ibn ‘Abbas—narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“On the night I was taken by night, I saw Moses son of ‘Imran: a dark-complexioned, tall man, as though he were one of the men of Shanu’ah. I saw Jesus son of Mary: a man of medium height, ruddy and fair-complexioned, with straight hair. And I saw Malik, the keeper of the Fire, among the signs which Allah showed him.”
