Sharh Usul Itiqad Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-JamaahAl-Lalakai

1424 — ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad informed us; al-Husayn ibn Isma‘il informed us; he said: Ibn Karamah narrated to us; he said: Abu Usamah narrated to us; Malik ibn Mighwal narrated to me, from al-Zubayr ibn ‘Adi, from Talhah ibn Musarrif, from Murrah, from ‘Abd Allah, who said:

“When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was taken by night and reached Sidrat al-Muntaha, the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary—which is in the sixth heaven—all that rises from the earth reaches it and is received from it, and all that descends from above it reaches it and is received from it: ‘when that which covered the Lote Tree covered it’ [al-Najm 53:16].” He said, “Golden moths.”

He said, “Then he was given the prescribed prayers, and he was given the closing verses of Surat al-Baqarah; and whoever among his ummah does not associate anything with Allah was forgiven ⦗850⦘, and He made clear the sins that lead to ruin.”

Both al-Bukhari and Muslim reported it.
