1417 — ‘Ali ibn ‘Umar ibn Ibrahim informed us. Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Dubayli narrated to us. He said: Muhammad ibn ‘Ali ibn Zayd narrated to us. He said: Sa‘id ibn Mansur narrated to us. He said: al-Harith ibn ‘Ubayd al-Iyadi narrated to us, from Sa‘id ibn Iyas al-Jurayri, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Shaqiq, from ‘A’ishah, who said:

“The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was being guarded when the following was revealed:

‘O Messenger! Convey all that has been sent down to you from your Lord. If you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people.’

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then put his head out from the tent and said, ‘O people, Allah has protected me from the people.’”
