He said: Hammad ibn Salama narrated to us, from ‘Ammar ibn Abi ‘Ammar, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, remained in Mecca for fifteen years: for seven years he saw the light and heard the voice, and for eight years revelation came to him. He remained in Medina for ten years.” Muslim transmitted it.
