1404—Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-‘Abbas informed us: ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi narrated to us; ‘Ali ibn al-Ja‘d narrated to us; Faraj ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from ⦗831⦘ Luqman ibn ‘Amir, from Abu Umamah al-Bahili, who said: It was asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what was the beginning of your affair?” He said, “The supplication of Abraham, the glad tidings of Jesus, and my mother’s vision of a light emerging from her which illuminated the palaces of Syria.”
