1403—Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Farisi informed us: Muhammad ibn Ja‘far ibn Milas informed us; Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Uthman narrated to us; al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us; al-Awza‘i narrated to us; Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, “When was prophethood decreed for you?” He replied, “Between Adam’s creation and the breathing of the spirit into him.” Abu ‘Isa transmitted it through the hadith of al-Walid.
١٤٠٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْفَارِسِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مِلَاسٍ، قَالَ: ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ: ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: مَتَى وَجَبَتْ لَكَ النُّبُوَّةُ؟ قَالَ: «بَيْنَ خَلْقِ آدَمَ وَنَفْخِ الرُّوحِ فِيهِ» أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو عِيسَى مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْوَلِيدِ
