1374 — Al-Qāsim informed us. ʿĪsā informed us. He said: Al-Qāsim ibn Naṣr narrated to us. He said: Kāmil ibn Ṭalḥah narrated to us. He said:
I knelt before Ḥammād ibn Salamah and said, “Abū Salamah, why is it that you narrated from all the people but left out ʿAmr ibn ʿUbayd?” He replied, “On a Friday, I saw in a dream that the people were praying toward the qiblah, while I saw ʿAmr ibn ʿUbayd praying in a direction other than the qiblah.”
١٣٧٤ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى، قَالَ: ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ: ثنا كَامِلُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ: جَثَوْتُ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيَّ فَقُلْتُ لِحَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ: يَا أَبَا سَلَمَةَ، مَا لَكَ رَوَيْتَ عَنِ النَّاسِ كُلِّهِمْ وَتَرَكْتَ عَمْرَو بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ؟، فَقَالَ: «إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ فِيَ الْمَنَامِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ كَأَنَّ النَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ، وَرَأَيْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ يُصَلِّي إِلَى غَيْرِ الْقِبْلَةِ»
