1362 — Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Najirami informed us. He said: Abu Ya‘qub Yusuf ibn Ya‘qub al-Najirami narrated to us. He said: ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad al-Qadi narrated to us. He said: Abu Hatim al-Razi narrated to us. He said: Fahd ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us. He said: Idris al-Qasir narrated to us, from his father, who said:

I was present before ‘Ubayd Allah ibn al-Hasan al-‘Anbari when two men brought a dispute before him. One of them said, “I bought a slave from him on the condition that he was free of disease, defect, and any hidden flaw in a Muslim’s sale to another Muslim; yet he is a Qadari.”

‘Ubayd Allah ibn al-Hasan said to him, “You bought a Muslim; you did not buy a disbeliever. Return him to him.” ⦗811⦘
