1359 — Al-Athram reported from Ahmad. He was asked, “May I visit a man who is a Qadari?” He replied, “Not if he is one who calls others to his erroneous doctrine.” He was asked, “Should I offer the funeral prayer over him?” But he gave no answer. Then Ibrahim ibn al-Harith al-‘Abbadi said, while Abu ‘Abd Allah was listening, “If he is a person of innovation, then do not greet him, do not pray behind him, and do not offer the funeral prayer over him.” Abu ‘Abd Allah said, “May Allah requite you, Abu Ishaq, and reward you with goodness.”
