1348 — Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Khalil informed us; he said: Abd Allah ibn Adi narrated to us. Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Birti wrote to me; he said: Amr ibn Ali narrated to us; he said: I heard Maymun ibn Zayd say: Harith ibn Surayj al-Bazzaz narrated to us; he said: I said to Muhammad ibn Ali, “We have an imam who professes the doctrine of predestination.” He replied, “O son of al-Farisi, consider every prayer you have performed behind him and repeat it. They are the brethren of the Jews and Christians—may Allah curse them! How are they turned away?”
