1338 — Bakr ibn Ahmad al-Sha‘rani reported: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa al-Baghdadi, the author of the History of Homs, narrated to us: Isma‘il ibn Aban narrated to me: Abu Mushir narrated to us: Abdullah ibn Salim narrated to us: “I lived among the people of Homs when they expelled Thawr ibn Yazid and burned down his house because of his statements regarding divine decree.”
