1335 — Abd al-Wahid informed us; Muhammad informed us; Yaqub related to us. He said: Sulayman ibn al-Lawfi related to me; Sulayman ibn Ziyad related to me; Humayd ibn Habib related to me that he saw Muhammad ibn Ishaq being whipped over the issue of divine decree. He was whipped by Ibrahim ibn Hisham, the maternal uncle of Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik.
١٣٣٥ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ , نا يَعْقُوبُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ اللَّوْفِيِّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: ثني حُمَيْدُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ أَنَّهُ رَأَى مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ مَجْلُودًا فِي الْقَدَرِ، جَلَدَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ خَالُ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ
