1327 — Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us. Muhammad ibn al-Husayn informed us. He said: Ahmad ibn Zuhayr narrated to us. He said: Abu Muhammad al-Tamimi narrated to us from Abu Mushir, who said: Awf ibn Hakim narrated to me. He said: Al-Walid ibn Sulayman ibn Abi al-Sa'ib narrated to us from Raja' ibn Haywah, who wrote to Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik:

“Commander of the Believers, ⦗793⦘ I have heard that, through Ghilan and Salih, something has come upon you. By Allah, I affirm that killing them both is preferable to killing two thousand Turks and Daylamites.”
