1318 — ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Farisi informed us. They said: al-Husayn ibn Yahya informed us. He said: al-Hasan ibn ‘Arafah narrated to us. He said: Isma‘il ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Abu Makhzum, from Yasar, who said: ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz said concerning the proponents of Qadar: “They should be asked to repent; if they repent, [well and good], but otherwise they should be banished from the lands of the Muslims.”
