1307—Al-Husayn ibn Ahmad al-Tabari informed us, saying: Ibn Mahdi informed us by authorization, saying: Ibn Harun narrated to us, saying: I heard Isam ibn al-Fadl say: I heard al-Muzani say: I asked al-Shafi‘i about the Prophet’s statement: “There are six whom Allah has cursed.” He mentioned the one who denies divine decree, so I asked him: “Does this include the Qadariyyah?” He replied: “Yes. They are those who claim that Allah does not know of sins until they occur.” Al-Muzani said: “In my view, this is disbelief.”
