1302—Al-Husayn ibn Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Tabari informed us: Ibrahim ibn Ahmad al-Mayli informed us; Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Adam related to us, saying: I heard al-Muzani say: Al-Shafi‘i said, “Do you know who the Qadari is? He is the one who says: ‘Allah did not create a thing until it came to be through his action.’” Al-Muzani said: Al-Shafi‘i declared him an unbeliever.
١٣٠٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الطَّبَرِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَيْلِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ آدَمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْمُزَنِيَّ يَقُولُ: قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ: تَدْرِي مِنْ الْقَدَرِيُّ؟ الَّذِي يَقُولُ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَخْلُقِ الشَّيْءَ حَتَّى عَمِلَ بِهِ قَالَ الْمُزَنِيُّ , وَالشَّافِعِيُّ بِكُفْرِهِ
