1293—Al-Qasim ibn Ja‘far informed us. Al-Husayn ibn Yahya informed us. Hafs ibn ‘Amr related to us. ‘Asim ibn Sulayman related to us. ‘Abd Allah related to us, from Nafi‘, who said: A man came to Ibn ‘Umar and said, “O Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman, is fornication decreed?” He replied, “Yes.” The man said, “Allah decreed it for me, then He punishes me for it?” He replied, “Yes, O son of fornication! If I had someone with me, I would order him to stab you in the nose.”
