1291—Al-Hasan ibn Uthman informed us; Ahmad ibn Hamdan informed us; Bishr said: Mu‘awiyah said: Abu Ishaq related to us from al-Awza‘i, to whom it had been reported from Ibn Abbas that their statements concerning the divine decree were mentioned in his presence. He said: “The wickedness of their view will lead them so far that they will deny that Allah has decreed any good, just as they have denied that He decreed evil.”
