1275 — Al-Qasim ibn Ja‘far informed us; ‘Isa ibn Ibrahim informed us; he said: Al-Qasim ibn Nasr related to us; he said: Salih ibn Hatim ibn Wardan related to us; he said: Yazid ibn Zuray‘ said: I said to Umar ibn Muhammad al-Umari, “Would you prefer a man who affirms the divine decree, knows in his heart that he is a believer, but does not speak about it, or a believer who speaks about it?” He replied, “No, by Allah—not until he makes their misguidance clear to them.”
