1269 — Al-Qasim ibn Jaʿfar informed us: ʿIsa ibn Ibrahim informed us; al-Qasim ibn Nasr narrated to us; Shayban ibn Farrukh narrated to us; ʿAwn ibn Musa narrated to us, from ʿAsim al-Ahwal, who said:
When people began to discuss the divine decree, Rufayʿ Abu al-ʿAliyah and Muslim ibn Yasar met together. One of them said to the other, “Come, let us consider what the people have been discussing.” He said: They jointly concluded, saying: “It is sufficient for you in this matter to know that nothing will befall you except what Allah has decreed for you, and that you will be recompensed for your deeds.”
١٢٦٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ: ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ , ثنا عَوْنُ بْنُ مُوسَى , عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ قَالَ: لَمَّا خَاضَ النَّاسُ فِي الْقَدَرِ اجْتَمَعَ رُفَيْعٌ أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ وَمُسْلِمُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ: تَعَالَ حَتَّى نَنْظُرَ فِيمَا خَاضَ النَّاسُ فِيهِ، قَالَ: اجْتَمَعَ رَأْيُهُمَا أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا: يَكْفِيكَ مِنْ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ أَنْ تَعْلَمَ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يُصِيبَكَ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكَ، وَأَنَّكَ مُجْزًى بِعَمَلِكَ
