1261 — Abd al-Rahman ibn Umar informed us by authorization. He said: Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Ya'qub informed us; Ya'qub ibn Shaybah related to me; Abu al-Nadr Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us; Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd Allah ibn Dinar narrated to us, from his father, from Ali ibn al-Husayn, who said:

“Indeed, the Qadariyyah have judged Allah’s power according to the weakness of their own reasoning, and so they said to Allah, ‘Why?’ Yet it is not fitting that one should say to Allah, ‘Why?’”
