Sharh Usul Itiqad Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamaah - Al-Lalakai - (1/90)

95—Abd al-Rahman ibn Umar ibn Ahmad informed us; al-Husayn ibn Isma'il informed us; Abu Hisham al-Rifa'i narrated to us; Hafs narrated to us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir, who said:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drew a line for us and said, “This is a path.” He then drew several lines and said, “These are the paths of Satan. There is not one of them ⦗91⦘ upon which a devil is not stationed, calling people to it. I am only a human being, and soon the messenger of my Lord will come to me, and I will answer his call. I am leaving among you the two weighty matters: the first of them is the Book of Allah, in which there is guidance and light. Whoever holds fast to it and adheres to it is upon guidance, while whoever abandons it and misses it is upon misguidance. And my household: I remind you of Allah concerning my household.

“And hold firmly, all together, to the rope of Allah, and do not be divided.” [Aal Imran: 103]

٩٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ , أنبا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ , ثنا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ , ثنا حَفْصٌ , عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ , عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ , عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ: خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطًّا فَقَالَ: «هَذَا سَبِيلٌ» , ثُمَّ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا فَقَالَ: " هَذِهِ سُبُلُ الشَّيْطَانِ , فَمَا مِنْهَا سَبِيلٌ إِلَّا عَلَيْهَا ⦗٩١⦘ شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ النَّاسَ , فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَنِي رَسُولُ رَبِّي فَأُجِيبَهُ , وَأَنَا تَارِكٌ فِيكُمُ الثَّقَلَيْنِ: أَوَّلُهُمَا كِتَابُ اللَّهِ ﷿ , فِيهِ الْهُدَى وَالنُّورُ , مَنِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِهِ وَأَخَذَ بِهِ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدَى , وَمَنْ تَرَكَهُ وَأَخْطَأَهُ كَانَ عَلَى الضَّلَالَةِ , وَأَهْلُ بَيْتِي أُذَكِّرُكُمُ اللَّهَ ﷿ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِي , ﴿وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا﴾ [آل عمران: ١٠٣] "
