1231—Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Hashimi informed us; he said: Abd al-Malik narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Zayyat narrated to us; he said: Hafs ibn Umar narrated to us, and he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us; he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Alqamah ibn Marthad, from Sulayman ibn Buraydah, from Yahya ibn Yamar, who said:

I said to Ibn Umar, “We travel and encounter people who say that there is no divine decree.” He said, “If you meet those people, inform them that Ibn Umar disavows them, and that they disavow him”—three times.
