1164 — Ahmad ibn al-Faraj informed us; he said: ‘Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Thabit informed us; he said: Muhammad ibn ‘Amr ibn Abi Madh‘ur narrated to us; he said: Bishr ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, from Mansur ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman, from al-Sha‘bi, who said:

I heard Ibn ‘Umar say, “I declare myself free of whoever does not believe in the divine decree.”
