1141 — Al-Hasan ibn Uthman informed us: Ismail ibn Muhammad informed us: Ahmad ibn Mansur related to us: Abd al-Razzaq related to us: Ibn Uyaynah informed us: Amr related to us: While Tawus was circumambulating the House, Mabad al-Juhani met him. Tawus said to him, “Are you Mabad?” He replied, “Yes.” Tawus then turned to the people and said, “This is Mabad, so treat him with contempt.”
١١٤١ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرٌو قَالَ: بَيْنَا طَاوُسٌ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ لَقِيَهُ مَعْبَدٌ الْجُهَنِيُّ فَقَالَ لَهُ طَاوُسٌ: أَنْتَ مَعْبَدٌ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِمْ طَاوُسٌ فَقَالَ: هَذَا مَعْبَدٌ فَأَهِينُوهُ
