1135 — Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Abbas informed us: Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Ziyad related to us: Yunus ibn Abd al-Ala related to us: Abdullah ibn Wahb related to us: Abu Sakhr Humayd ibn Ziyad narrated to me, from Nafi', who said:

While we were with Abdullah ibn Umar, a man came to him and said, “So-and-so, a man from the people of Syria, sends you greetings.” Ibn Umar replied, “I have heard that he has introduced an innovation. If that is so, then do not convey my greetings to him. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘There will be transformation and swallowing up by the earth among my community, and this will occur among the heretics and the adherents of divine-decree doctrine.’”
