1082—Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Ziyad al-Naysaburi informed us. He said: Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Hamdun ibn Khalid narrated to us. He said: Isa ibn Ahmad ibn Ward al-Balkhi narrated to us. He said: Ishaq ibn al-Furat al-Misri narrated to us. He said: Khalid ibn Abd al-Rahman Abu al-Haytham narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Tariq ibn Shihab, from Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“I was sent as one who calls and conveys the message, yet no part of guidance lies in my hands. Iblis was created as one who makes things appear attractive, yet no part of misguidance lies in his hands.”
