1081—Ahmad informed us: Ali ibn Abdullah informed us. He said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far Luqluq narrated to us. He said: Hammad ibn Khalid narrated to us. He said: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from Rashid ibn Sa'd, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Qatadah al-Sulami, who heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say:

“Adam was created, and all creation was brought forth from his back. Then He said, ‘These are for Paradise, and I do not mind; and these are for the Fire, and I do not mind.’”

It was said, “Then on what basis should we act?” He said, “According to the outcomes decreed by divine ordainment.”
