1073—And Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Humayd informed us: Ahmad ibn Abdullah al-Wakil informed us: Ahmad ibn Budayl narrated to us: Waki‘ narrated to us: Talhah ibn Yahya narrated to us, from his paternal aunt Aishah bint Talhah, from Aishah, the Mother of the Believers, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was invited to the funeral of a boy from the Ansar. I said, “O Messenger of Allah, blessed is this child—a sparrow among the sparrows of Paradise—whom evil has not touched and who has not committed it.” He said, “Could it be otherwise? Indeed, Allah Most High created people for Paradise, creating them for it while they were yet in the loins of their fathers; and He created people for the Fire while they were yet in the loins of their fathers.” Muslim transmitted it from Abu Bakr, from Waki‘.
