1071—Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman informed us: Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Baghawi informed us: Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Marwazi narrated to us: Ja'far ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Marzuq Abu Bakr, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: Suraqah said, “O Messenger of Allah, tell us about our religion: are we now beginning to act regarding that which the pens have written and the records have set down, or are we acting with respect to something yet to begin?” He said, “Everyone is facilitated for that for which he was created.” Suraqah said, “Now no one has more right than I to strive diligently.”
